Accessibility statement
I am committed to making jackwendt.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. The web should work regardless of ability, technology, or context.
Conformance status
I aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. jackwendt.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means some parts of the content do not yet fully conform, and I am working to close those gaps.
Measures I take
- Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure where the theme allows it
- Alternative text for meaningful images
- Color contrast on new work, including gold calls to action on navy and paper backgrounds
- Keyboard navigation support from the theme
- Descriptive link text instead of “click here”
- No autoplaying video with sound. Homepage motion is muted. Article YouTube embeds wait for play
Compatibility
This site is built to work with current Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, and with common assistive technologies including VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS. Pages are responsive on desktop and mobile.
Known limitations
- Some older images in the media library may still lack complete alternative text
- Third-party embeds (YouTube) are controlled by those platforms
- The theme’s heading landmarks can be imperfect around the site header and footer
Feedback
If you hit a barrier or need content in another format, email jack@highriseinfluence.net. I aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five business days.
Assessment
This statement is a self-evaluation: automated checks plus manual review. Prepared 26 August 2026. I update it as the site evolves.
