Claiming Your Knowledge Panel at DigiMarCon NYC

At DigiMarCon NYC, Dennis Yu and I did not sell a magic button. We showed how a Google Knowledge Panel is earned from work you already did — and why the AIs that scrape the web are already using that same proof.

That session is on the High Rise Influence channel. I am in the room with Dennis. The slides are the Content Factory. The point is Googleable proof, not a press release you bought in a town nobody reads.

On stage with Dennis. This is the same system we walked in New York.

What is a Knowledge Panel, in one sentence?

It is Google’s public card for an entity it already believes exists. You do not invent the entity. You make the citations, the site, the sameAs links, and the content match the person who actually did the work.

Dennis put it the way we tell every founder who wants a shortcut: there is no secret to flying a jet or doing heart surgery. The textbooks are public. Expertise is doing it. A Knowledge Panel is the same kind of thing. The ingredients are public. The execution is the product.

Why did we talk about ChatGPT on an SEO stage?

Because the bots are already visiting the pages. In that room Dennis pulled a live log: thousands of AI crawler hits in a few days, and a much smaller number of humans who arrived because an assistant had cited the article. Anthropic, ChatGPT, Google, Applebot — the mix changes, the lesson does not. If you publish the canonical explanation of a topic, the assistants quote you. If you publish mush, they quote someone else.

People call that GEO now. It is the same rules as SEO with a different scoreboard. We do not run a trick. We publish the recipe. The Content Factory is that recipe: produce the recording, process it, post it, then promote what already worked.

What do we actually tell a founder to do first?

Start with an audit. Prescription before diagnosis is malpractice. If your customers already love you and the last three agencies burned you, you probably have ingredients. If you are brand new and you just want a shortcut to look famous, this is not the room.

Then we structure what you have already done — clients, talks, relationships, results — so Google and the assistants can see it. That is the opposite of fake “as seen in” badges. I have sat with Dennis while he tore those apart. A digest in a town you have never heard of is not Rolling Stone.

How does this connect to High Rise Influence?

I run High Rise Influence. Dennis is the partner who taught me the factory. We teach the same stack to young adults in the AI Apprentice program and to founders who already have a real business. The Knowledge Panel is not a trophy. It is the public record that the factory is working.

If you want the origin story — Minnesota house, church cameras, how I met this work — that is a different article: From Pastor’s Kid to Founder.
